Pros:
  • Unknown
Cons:
  • Misleading advertisement

Preferred solution: They are a lead generation company advertising as a Solar Company. My solution is that they change their advertising to an honest advertisement. So many of the texts that I received subsequent to them selling my information were phishing attempts.

User's recommendation: Nope

Harassment

He calls me almost every day, and I drop everything to answer because it looks like a local call. Once I tell him I am not a home owner, he abruptly hangs up, because apparently I am of no use for his sale. However, today I decided to play along, and I said I was the home owner and very interested, so he connected me to American Solar, which sounded like an outsourced person, Is there a way to get off their list? I block the number they call on, but the next day they call from a different number.

I'm supervisor, from energy advocate

I am an employee, we're totally legit. There are numerous call centre who call u everyday, u just need to tell them ur not home owner, we are overseas but not fake/scam. We ask few qualifying question like are u home owner because home owner decides he wants solar or not.

We ask are u paying over 100 dollars because if you're paying low electric bill why u need solar, yeah There are many *** Indian scam call centres they got Indian accent and they want your credit account number. So folks we're legit, u can just complete the call and check by urself.I remember once I was completing the call and customer said when I have to give my credit account number and hang up, I Checked his address on Google map, it was jail's address.

I was laughing af. Just wanna say recognize Indian accent and if he gets too personal hang up on his face.

Complaint

Received a call from this Solar America. Answered the questions and when I told them I already had a solar system, they connected me to an agent. I asked what company this was and he almost said "Senior Programs" but caught himself and said "Solar America." This was the second call from them today using false local numbers. I now document these calls since I am on the state and federal no-call list. I upset one robocaller years ago and filed a complaint with the FTC and received a letter from them saying I could file a case with the District Court and ask for as much as $15,000 per call. That is what I did. The guy didn't even show up for the trial, which the judge thought was funny. I showed the judge the FTC letter and my telephone call log that showed over 8 calls a day for 45 days. I did a reverse dial and asked him to stop. He laughed. I even sent him a certified letter. Again nothing. I did win my case and received a verdict of over $1.23 million. Should have seen his face when the Sheriff Department went to his house to empty the contents and take it to Goodwill. Wish I could have seen his face when the IRS informed him he owed taxes on over $1.2 million for the remainder of the judgment. Anyway, I am in that mode again. I need to find where this Solar America is located because I am in the mood to file another court case.

I do not know if they have their own call center that keeps calling or they contract a call center but I have asked several times to stop calling me, I get them almost every day. They are rude and will hang up on you halfway while you're trying to tell them to stop calling. Absolutely the worse every, Do not call registry isnt much of a help either.

He would just start on another solar panel fact. I said "please stop", I have questions". he said I was rude and said he did not like being interrupted. I said if I have a question I will interrupt you!. I will never do business with solar America!! they don't even do the work!! Angry just a big SCAM in my book. as for albert, I do not see how he sleeps at night doing this type of scam during the day!

FRAUD SCAM

It is "Dear Old Jason" A computer voice if ever I heard one. Calls on local "spoofed" numbers and NEVER quits! A total scam and fraud. FTC and FCC should investigate. Do I smell wire fraud here?

Solar America - Review in Utility category

The energy rates he quotes on his commercials are a total farce. Don't believe what your hear. Look at the energy rates published on your utility bill or go on line to look at SEER national energy rates for your area. Do your own calculations? Your solar panels will not "write you a check." Read the fine print. There is a lot of corruption and lies being told by these used car approach of the by the solar sales people. (My apologies for insulting car sales people. You have some integrity.)
