Solar America

Spent five hours on the phone and got approved for solar. designers were supposed to come out and look at the roof and see what kind of design to put on to get the most electric from the sun.

We do have partial shade a gentleman came out to check the electrical and wanted to know what the designers said but no designers ever showed so he looked on roof and gave his opinion. He was from ADT. so called point of contact and he said that the company that had come out, was trying to steal their business and he would get down and find out what was going on, he would call us asap and then when he did call us he asked if we removed a couple of trees that were in the corner of our lot that arent even ours b cause the gentleman from ADT said so. But we where working with Sun Solar.

Apparently ADT installs their solar panels?Never got the whole story. anyways literally got ghosted the dude never calls back. I left a Lotta messages , no surveyors ever came out so I am thinking the sun Solar guy was going off what ADT electric guy says? ?

The sales guy is in Denver and we are in Missouri.

I really dont know what the Hecks going on so now I am looking at a different company if you cant install them fine but dont ghost people. This is rude and poor business practice so I would never go with this company because if theyre willing to ghost you their willing to steal from you!

I was told more than a half dozen times by Solar America that their service, including Solar panels and their usage was at no cost. I told them I wanted to help conserve, share extra power back with my community, and save money by eliminating my electricity bill.

They said that was their plan. Then after two hours of hard sale tactics done by 3 different people, they admitted that: 1) they are a pass through company; and 2) it wasnt free it was essentially the monthly amount we pay Xcel. We have been had. This information triggered red flags I had developed after my over two decades as an employee with the U.S.

Justice Department, but i wanted to believe. So Im not saying dont do business with this bunch, Im saying Im not going to do business with them. If they said during the first hard sell that costs will be involved I may have continued to listen.

Please be careful and do your research. I clearly didnt do all of the research I should have.

This guy named Jason from solar america just called me right now using my local area number and asked how Im doing I immediately hung up the phone to check online and came across this site with reviews of people mentioning this same scam artist I have blocked his number and have seen many other reviews saying he keeps calling back I will keep blocking any number he calls with and will post here again if it occurs again but this is a fake number don’t answer and glad this site has other people that shared what happened too never do business with these scams lol lol
